"He built a small house, called a cocoon, around himself. He stayed inside for more than two weeks..."
"Then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out and..."
"he was a beautiful butterfly!"
And then they would take a victory lap around the house flapping their wings celebrating their chrysalis!
Calla's life reached a new peak this season with the addition of her music class. She gets to sing songs, play with instruments, act out motions, play with puppets, and do a lot of running around. It has been a bit awkward for me though because Calla prefers to sit in the teachers lap the entire time. Thank God Mrs. Boyd loves her so much and tolerates all the extra work!
A friend of ours took this picture before Leslie's last choir performance. All the kids were told to put bubbles in their mouth to keep them quiet while they walked in and got on the steps. Leslie is nothing if not obedient...
